CARIBBEAN · CORAL REEFS · ISLAND LIFE

Island girl,
ocean storyteller.

I'm Trinity, born on a tiny dot of an island called Utila, raised in the Caribbean with salt in my hair and sun on my skin, falling in love with the ocean and wanting to spread that love to others. I created this book to show children the magical world under the sea, in the hope that they'll fall in love with it just as I did, and maybe grow up to become the next generation of ocean lovers and conservationists.

Dotto's Ocean Adventures Activity Pack

Bring the reef home. This printable activity pack turns Dotto Meets the Corals into hands-on play your kids can dive into again and again. Four different games, each one designed to help little ones connect with the ocean in a real, tangible way. And if you've read the book, the pack pulls Dotto's world off the page and into your living room, with real-life comparisons that make coral reefs feel close enough to touch.

The best part? Every game runs on its own timeline. Some are quick, some stretch into a whole afternoon, so you can pick and choose based on how much time you've got that day. A five-minute wind-down before bed or a rainy Saturday project, it's up to you. Everything works one-on-one with your child or in a group, so it fits playdates, classrooms, and birthday parties just as easily as a quiet afternoon at the kitchen table.

Here's what's inside:

Meet the Reef is a guessing and flip card game that introduces the reef's characters and creatures. Quick to set up and quick to play, it's perfect for those short pockets of time when you want something easy and fun. Great for younger kids just getting to know the ocean.

Save the Reef is a sorting game where kids figure out what helps the reef and what harms it. It comes with a play mat and a set of item cards, and it opens up gentle conversations about protecting the ocean without ever feeling like a lecture. Plan for a bit more time with this one, it invites questions and chatter.

Match the Reef pairs Dotto's illustrated friends with real photographs of the actual reef, taken on the island of Utila. This is where the magic of the book meets the real world. Kids see that Brain Coral and Staghorn Coral aren't just characters, they're living creatures out in the ocean right now. A lovely medium-length game that builds real recognition.

Build-a-Reef Mural is the big one. Kids color and cut out reef pieces, then assemble them into a large mural background they can hang on the wall. It's the perfect longer project for a slow day, and the finished mural becomes something they made and can be proud of. Set aside a good chunk of time for this, or spread it across a few sittings.

Whether you do one game or all four, the Dotto's Ocean Adventures Activity Pack is a simple, screen-free way to spark your child's curiosity about the ocean and help them fall in love with the reef, one adventure at a time.

From a tiny island
to a big blue mission.

My Story

I grew up on Utila, a speck of an island in the Bay Islands of Honduras, where my parents ran a scuba diving centre and the sea was practically the family business. I learned to read the reef before I could read books — which corals were thriving, which were turning pale, which fish had come home for the season.

That childhood became a calling. My conservation work earned support from the National Geographic Society and the Nature Conservancy, and even now, from my home in Madrid, the reef is never far from my mind. I wrote Dotto's story so the children who'll inherit the ocean fall in love with it first — because we protect what we love.
